 how do I get started as an automotive technician I have electrical training?

I'VE BEEN CHALLENGED A FEW TIMES BUT I'VE SUCCEEDED WITH MY BELIEF THAT YOU CAN'T KEEP YOUNG EAGER TECHNICIANS MOTIVATED IF YOU DON'T HAVE A STRUCTURED TRAINING AND MENTORING PROGRAM. WE ALL SHOW UP EVERY DAY BECAUSE OF WHAT WE EARN, THEREFORE MENTORSHIP BY SENIOR TECHNICIANS HAS TO HAVE VALUE FOR THEM. I HAVE ALWAYS BELIEVED THAT SENIOR TECHNICIANS SHOULD BE INVOLVED IN THE HIRING PROCESS, GIVING THEM A VESTED INTEREST IN CHOOSING WHO THEY WILL BE MENTORING. PAY SHOULD REFLECT HOW WELL YOUNG (REALLY ALL) TECHS PROGRESS. EVERY STAFF MEMBER SHOULD HAVE A STRUCTURED GOAL-ORIENTED TRAINING PROGRAM. IF LEADERS LEAD, STAFF SHOULD NEVER WONDER WHERE THEY STAND ON PAY OR TRAINING. EMPLOYEE DISSENSION COMES FROM NOT HAVING A PROGRESSION PLAN FOR EVERY EMPLOYEE. RAISES ARE EARNED BY OBTAINING GOALS THAT ARE IN PLAIN SIGHT AND NEVER A MYSTERY.
A DEALER'S (OR SHOP OWNER'S)BIGGEST SERVICE ASSET IS RAISING SOLID TECHNICIANS THROUGH A STRUCTURED MENTORSHIP PROGRAM. ASE CERTIFICATION SHOWS A TECHNICIAN'S COMMITMENT TO HIS CRAFT WHILE FACTORY TRAINING SHOWS THE DEALER'S COMMITMENT TO HIS TECHNICIANS. THE FORMULA HAS NEVER CHANGED IN MY 30+ YEARS.
